When Was the Last Time You Traded with the Great One?

While reading a book on dreams, I came to a profound realization: walking with God is not just a discipline—it is a divine invitation. God continually calls us into deeper purpose.

I remember specific moments when I set aside days each week to wait on the Lord. In those quiet places of prayer, His gentle instructions would come:
"Why don't you extend your fasting period?"
"You could try praying a bit longer."
"You don't really need to respond to that message, you know."

And the directions continued, guiding me through the daily rhythms of life.

One of the earliest times I recognized the Holy Spirit's promptings was during a simple transaction. I needed to transfer money to a neighbor and, as usual, intended to use her old account details. But the Holy Spirit nudged me:
"Why not ask for her current account number instead?"

I dismissed the thought and proceeded as planned. Shortly after the transfer, my neighbor informed me that the account was experiencing network issues. I had to wait longer for confirmation—something that could’ve been avoided had I simply listened.

God constantly places choices before us. He says, “I have set before you life and death—choose life.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)
He invites, “Come to me, all who labor...” (Matthew 11:28)
And He assures, “Seek me and you will find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)

God longs for us to come—not out of fear, but from a heart that desires to reflect His divine reality in our human experience. He calls us to something greater: a life that transcends mere survival, a life rooted in love, purpose, and partnership with Him.

To every generation, in every season, God extends an open offer:
“Let’s do life together. I know the trade inside out. Yes, there will be losses—but if you walk with Me, the profit will far outweigh the pain.”

He gives us options. He provides counsel. And He still speaks today.

God is asking:
"Will you do business with Me?"
"Will you trade with the Most High?"

Unlike evil spirits that oppress and dominate, Jesus invites. He respects your will and desires your love—not forced obedience.

Too often, we wait for a nightmare, a crisis, a prophecy, or a painful experience before we run to the Great One. But that is not His desire. As the Psalmist beautifully declares in Psalm 23:1–3 (MSG):

God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing.
You have bedded me down in lush meadows,
You find me quiet pools to drink from.
True to Your word,
You let me catch my breath
And send me in the right direction.

God wants to hold our hand and lead us in the right path. Truly, He desires to be our Shepherd—not just in crisis, but in every step of our daily walk.

Stay revived. Stay aligned. Say yes to His invitation.

Aligned for a Generation

 

John 1:1 (KJV)

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

From Scripture, we understand that Jehovah existed long before the creation of the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 says, "In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth." This teaches us that God existed before "the beginning," in a realm beyond time and creation.

As a child, I often asked, “Where does God live?”

The usual answer was, “He lives in heaven.”

But that puzzled me—if God created the heavens, how could He live in something that didn’t yet exist?

Over time, I came to realize that God exists in a realm where the normal human mind cannot comprehend. He is enthroned there, and the earth is His footstool. God is not bound by our time. He interacts with us according to His divine timing and purpose for our lives.

The book of Jeremiah 1:5 (MSG) says:

"Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you..."

God knows us intimately, beyond what we know of ourselves. He sees us not only as we are, but as He designed us to be before the foundations of the earth. That’s why He continually calls us to align with Him, so He can reveal the specific dimension of our identity that He desires to express through us in each season.

When we walk in alignment with the Holy Spirit, He gives us glimpses, brief or prolonged, of what He can accomplish in us and through us.

I used to think the Lord spoke rarely.

But now I understand: He speaks more often than we realize, just not always in the way or at the time we expect.

If your heart longs to converse with Him, know this: He is always ready to respond.

Sometimes, we ask and feel like there’s no answer—but it’s not that He hasn’t heard. He is waiting for the moment that aligns with His perfect will. He searches the true intentions behind our requests, and when His answer comes, it comes not merely with words, but with purpose, clarity, and undeniable confirmation.

You will know it was the Lord who answered.

There is a divine call to align ourselves with God’s purpose in this season.

The Holy Spirit has stirred the waters.

A window is open.

God is positioning men and women in the marketplace with the cry of a generation burning in their hearts.

Those who rise strong and triumphant will be the ones who align with what God is doing now.

There is life beyond the daily routine.

There is a sacred beauty in setting things right.

We are not here just for ourselves—we are here for a generation.

Our allegiance is to the Lamb.

And He is calling us to align.

Whose Approval Are You Living For?

 

Take a moment and ask yourself—be honest: Whose approval do you truly seek when making decisions or taking steps in life?

More often than we realize, God gives us clear instructions and patiently waits for our response. Our choice to obey or disobey does not derail His sovereign will—what He has purposed will come to pass. Still, that does not diminish the significance of our obedience. There is something deeper at stake: our alignment with God’s heart and our posture of surrender.

We are called to seek God's approval above all else, not the validation of man.

Consider Moses. When the Israelites grumbled in the wilderness, accusing him of leading them into the desert to die of thirst, Moses cried out to God. The Lord told him to strike the rock once, and water would come forth. But Moses, overwhelmed with frustration, struck the rock more than once. Water still flowed, but his disobedience carried weight.

This moment wasn't just about disobedience in action—it was about a misalignment of heart. There's a crucial difference between willing obedience and reluctant compliance. Partial obedience or delayed obedience is still disobedience. God was inviting Moses to cooperate with Him so that Israel could encounter a new revelation of His nature, as the fountain of living water, faithful and trustworthy.

This is echoed in Jeremiah 2:13 (NIV):

“My people have committed two sins:

They have forsaken me,

The spring of living water,

and have dug their own cisterns,

broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”

So, again: Whose approval guides your choices? Are you living to walk in step with God's design for your life, or are you shaped more by the opinions of others?

God is inviting us to let go of the burdens, the false identities, and the spiritual clutter we’ve picked up along the way—those things that keep us from being open and real before Him. He calls us to approach Him with vulnerability and reverence—not out of fear, but from a deep awe and trust in who He is.

We are not mere servants working to earn acceptance—we are sons and daughters, welcomed into intimate fellowship. And as sons, we should come to Him daily and ask:

"Lord, help me walk out the life You designed for me."

This transformation into the likeness of Christ doesn’t happen all at once. It unfolds gradually, as we let Him lead, guiding our steps, shaping our desires, and aligning our hearts with His. In that place of surrender, we begin to experience the fullness of life He intended for us all along. God wants you to seek his approval and let him take the lead.

Are You in the Lord's Army?

Growing up, I had two favorite songs: "Oh, When the Saints Go Marching In" and "I'm in the Lord’s Army." This morning, I woke up singing "I'm in the Lord’s Army," and I couldn’t help but feel grateful to be recruited into God's army, an army that we come in when we tarry in the place of prayer, We are soldier recruited in the different section of God's army.

We live in a time when what used to be abnormal is now seen as normal. Morality and true Christianity are often viewed as outdated. But the Lord is calling His army to rise—to stand guard against the schemes of Satan. We are not to be entangled in the web of his demonic strategies, because something powerful is on the horizon. It's being stirred up in the atmosphere, the clouds are getting full.

God is stirring hearts. He’s preparing His people for an outpouring of His Spirit, a rain of revival that will sweep through nations. But for this to happen, He’s asking His soldiers—you and me—to partner with Him.

Romans 13:11–12 (NLT)

"This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here."

The enemy knows what’s coming. That’s why he’s working overtime to capture the minds of our young ones, making them unavailable and unprepared for God’s use. But as soldiers of Christ, we must rise and say no—no to Satan’s tactics, no to his deception, no to his demonic strategies wrapped in distraction and manipulation.

We must stand guard. We must watch over our children and ourselves and align our hearts with God’s direction. We must trust Him, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, to lead this fight and break the hold of hell over God’s people.

The truth is, we were never worthy of His love. But mercy has been poured out over us by the blood of His Son. And now, as redeemed ones, we must be vigilant. We must be watchmen, ensuring that God's plan to rescue souls continues without delay.

This revival will touch nations where Christianity is barely present, places with as little as 2% of believers. God's fire will ignite hearts in high places—leaders and decision-makers—who have the power to shift culture and bring transformation.

So, friends, let’s stay on guard. Let’s take our place in the army of Christ. Let’s stay awake, stay aligned, and stay expectant.

The rain is coming.
