Ready or not, what would you embrace for the sake of the Gospel?
For the sake of the Gospel, how far would I go?
For the sake of the Gospel, what death would I choose?
For the sake of the Gospel, what life should I lead?
Yes, maybe at first we came to Jesus because of what we thought He would do for us. But have we stepped into the place where we say, “Lord, I choose the path You have written for me”?
Far be it from me, O Lord, to choose my comfort over the weight of the call You have placed upon my shoulders.
I would go miles with You, as long as I journey with You.
Acts 21:13
GNT:
“But he answered, ‘What are you doing, crying like this and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be tied up in Jerusalem but even to die there for the sake of the Lord Jesus.’”
NKJV:
“Then Paul answered, ‘What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.’”
We all want to be Jesus babies but God is calling us into a greater communion where our choices and life decisions would intertwine into that heaven has written out for us.
Most times it wouldn't be what we consider "best" for ourselves but because heaven wants it we would choose it.
How far will you go for the sake of the gospel?
